Sukkot is the season of our rejoicing — eight days of meals in the sukkah, the lulav and etrog each morning, and a table that has room for you at it.
It ends with Simchat Torah, when the Torah comes out of the ark and everyone dances.
Whether you come every week or have never been, you are welcome at Chabad of the Venetian & Sunset Islands. Nothing to join, nothing to know in advance.
Every service, meal and candle lighting time, day by day.
Your own set, yours to keep.
A lulav, an etrog, three hadassim and two aravot, taken every morning of Sukkot except Shabbat. Sets are $50 and we will show you how to hold it. Order online, or call 305-674-8400.
The first two nights, at a full table under the schach.
Yom Tov dinner in the sukkah on both nights of Sukkot, after evening services. $54 per adult, $18 per child. Reserve ahead so we can set the table.
Four nights, four sukkahs.
Every evening of chol hamoed we move to a different sukkah across the neighbourhood. [Times and hosts to follow — see the flyer.]
Hakafot
The one night of the year the Torah comes out of the ark and nobody reads from it. We dance with it instead, for as long as the circle keeps going. Every man gets an honour, the kids get flags and treats, and a deluxe kiddush follows.
Everything about Sukkot, in one place.
What the sukkah is for, how to hold the four kinds, what happens on Simchat Torah, plus recipes, stories and a kids’ site.
