The bat-mitzvah club meeting was great! We learned that Hashem is always their for us. He is standing next to us all the time even if we don't see it. We need to appreciate the small miracles in life - reminders that Hashem is always with us. Also that we need to realize when we just see something "bad" is happening, think on the bright side: it is for the good, although it may not always seem that way. We listened to a story which we learned that sometimes the cure arrives before the curse. But blinded as we mere mortals often tend to be we fail to recognize either one for what they truly are.
